Whoever said that soundtracks were an afterthought is a liar! Over the last decade, the film industry has produced a few great pieces of work. Spiral: From The Book of Saw, Creed, Creed II, SuperFly, Black Panther and Queen & Slim have enlisted the help of Future, Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion and several other big stars. This summer, Space Jam: A New Legacy is looking to add its name to the list of solid soundtracks over the last decade.
Two months away from the film’s release, Space Jam: A New Legacy has rolled out the latest addition to its soundtrack. In one of the more unexpected collaborations, Kirk Franklin and Lil’ Baby have teamed up for “We Win.” Produced by the legendary Just Blaze, the track delivers a grand feeling that is both uplifting and celebratory.
“We will, we will, we will, we will be great/We will, we will, we will, we will/We will, we will, I believe that, if together,” Franklin sings on the hook.
“Strivin’ for greatness/At the same time, keepin’ my patience/Can’t be racin’, tell nobody fake, I’m cool with this paper,” Lil Baby raps.
