Kickin’ It With Def Pen: WYKW Recap (4/9/14)

We are officially a month in with the Wear Your Kicks/Wear Your Kicks Wednesday movement and things have been very successful. That’s what happens when you involve the people and build something strictly for them. After such a bang with week 3 I wondered, “there is no way you guys can outdo what y’all did” but I was mistakenly wrong.

Kid you not, before I woke up on Wednesday #WYKW was already going. The first five participants came out swinging. “Supreme” Foamposites set the tone early and yes there were a pair of Red Octobers as well. I mean sheesh, I said Wear Your Kicks but have some sympathy. I’m just kidding. This is exactly what makes the sneaker game interesting and takes it back to its essence, giving enjoyment to seeing people wear their kicks instead of just sitting on em or reselling. I didn’t grow up in that era.
