Cleveland Cavaliers are one win away from closing out their second round series with the Chicago Bulls. Last night they achieved a victory over the Bulls behind a strong performance from LeBron James.
Now it appears that one of the newest members of the Cavs, Kendrick Perkins, is involved with a domestic incident with his wife in a parked SUV.
A 911 caller alerted police about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday that a woman was hitting a man inside an SUV on Crocker Road and Hilliard Boulevard. The caller said the woman was trying to keep the man from getting out of the SUV parked alongside the road.
When officers arrived, they found Perkins and his wife, Vanity Perkins, in the black SUV. Neither had any visible injuries and both said it was just an argument.
Neither were taken into custody.
The Westlake city prosecutor is reviewing the incident to decide if charges are warranted.
An officer gave Perkins a ride home and his wife left in the SUV, police said.
There is also a 911 recording that Cleveland.com obtained with the caller giving a description of the incident.
Perkins joined Cavs late in the season after he was traded from the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Utah Jazz and Utah bought out his contract, making him free to sign with the Cavaliers.
Well be sure to update you with more information as it gets released.
