Fresh off his reinstatement to the NFL, wide receiver Josh Gordon has signed with the Kansas City Chiefs. He will start off on the practice squad but will be elevated to the main roster when he is deemed up to NFL speed. Gordon has been out of the league since 2019. The Kansas City Chiefs find themselves at a 1-2 record. This is their first sub .500 record since quarterback Patrick Mahomes took over under center. Josh Gordon is undeniably talented but has missed a lot of time.
Time to get to work. ? @Chiefs ??

Gordon has completed a rigorous process to return to the NFL after multiple suspensions. This is not his first return to professional football, but it may likely be his last chance to stay in the NFL. He turned 30 years old this year and with age comes fewer chances at second chances. Some would argue that he has already received too many. Regardless he is back in the NFL with another chance and on a potential Super Bowl contender to boot.

The Kansas City Cheifs very clearly need another weapon on offense not named Travis Kelce or Tyreek Hill. Josh Gordon has proven to be more than capable in the past and could make an excellent third option on the team. It will take at least a week, if not more, to get him back to an NFL level of readiness.
