Denver Broncos wide receiver K.J. Hamler is out for the season after suffering a torn ACL against the New York Jets in week 3. The Broncos are off to an impressive 3-0 start, but now lack serious depth at the wide receiver position. It is likely the team decides to hold workouts with free agent wide receivers or possible attempts to make a trade if they can find the right deal. Hamler, in his second year, should be healthy and ready to hit the field next year.
#Broncos WR K.J. Hamler tore his ACL yesterday I”m told. Another blow to Denver’s WR group. Broncos off to a great start 3-0.

Hamler wasn’t a top option with Denver, but with key injuries, he was becoming a more important member of the roster. Through two games and some change, K.J. Hamler caught five passes for 74 yards on ten targets. The Broncos are 3-0, but their first three opponents are a combined 0-9 through three weeks of play. Teddy Bridgewater and the Denver Broncos face a real test in week four against the 2-1 Baltimore Ravens.

The Broncos selected K.J. Hamler in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft which signals they have plans for him in the future. This injury is an unfortunate setback, but his recovery should go just fine. Hopefully, he will heal up and be ready for a breakout 2022 NFL season. For now, the Denver Broncos will have to solve their wide receiver depth problems without K.J Hamler. We here at Def Pen Sports hope to see Hamler healthy and back on the field next year.
