On Friday, February 14, 2025, millions across the country will celebrate the love and light of their current relationships, but intimacy and relationships rarely reflect the simplistic bliss often shown in Valentine’s Day ads. Things are a bit more complicated that and Jordyn Simone understands that all too well.
On Friday, February 7, 2025, emerging R&B singer and songwriter Jordyn Simone unveiled her highly-anticipated project, Remember When? The concise, six-track project dives into the ups and downs of love, heartbreak and reconciliation with complete transparency. Along the way, she recruits a star-studded lineup of male vocalists, including Reggie Becton, Joseph Solomon, Dende, PHABO, Lekan, and TA Thomas, to offer different prospectives on romance and the search for happiness.
“With Remember When?, I wanted to invite listeners into the honest, sometimes messy conversation between two sides of love,” Jordyn Simone said about Remember When? “The male voices on this EP don’t just feature—they complete the story. Working with such passionate collaborators has been a transformative experience, one that’s not only fueled my creativity but also fostered a sense of community rooted in mutual respect and shared emotion. I hope people find pieces of themselv in these songs and remember that when we open ourselves up—be it through heartbreak or euphoria—we tap into the collective heartbeat that binds us all.”
Remember When? adds to a great week for the genre, which has celebrated the release of new music from Melanie Fiona, Leon Thomas and more. Not to mention, The Weeknd recently announced his next tour, Coco Jones shared the release date for her debut album and Musiq Soulchild and Hit-Boy are gearing up to release a new project next week. With artists like Jordyn Simone releasing projects like this, it’s safe to say that R&B is in good hands.
