The Alabama Crimson Tide have received the commitment from Yale Bulldog’s graduate transfer forward Jordan Bruner. He will be immediately eligible and can play his last year under Head Coach Nate Oats this upcoming season. He will join an Alabama roster that needs to be retooled after losing some talent to the 2020 NBA Draft. Bruner picked the Crimson Tide over the Maryland Terrapins and the Baylor Bears. This an impressive addition for Nate Oats who already has a couple of talented players coming into the program.
Yale graduate transfer Jordan Bruner is headed to Alabama. Averaged 10.9 PPG and 9.2 RPG this past season. Eligible to play next season. Significant addition for Nate Oats.

Bruner is an impact forward and exactly the kind of experienced and talented player that Alabama will need next year with its infusion of young players. This is the kind of addition that could keep you very competitive in a tough conference like the SEC. His final year with the Yale Bulldogs saw him average 10.9 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.7 blocks per game. He also shot 44.3 percent from the field and 32.3 percent from the three-point line.
Can Jordan Bruner be successful at a power 5 school? Against North Carolina in December, Bruner finished with: 17 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, and 2 steals, and 0 turnovers. That’s against a high level big man Garrison Brooks. Safe to say I think would be fine. pic.twitter.com/mWJVPAE0FQ

Alabama is attempting to rebuild the program under Nate Oats while still being competitive in the SEC. This past year they did just that thanks to some talent decided to stay with Alabama despite the coaching change. The goal now is to start winning with the new players of the program and this kind of experience should help do just that.
