Pittsburgh Panthers star sophomore wide receiver Jordan Addison is expected to announce he will enter the transfer portal. This period of the year is typically when all the talk is on basketball transfers, but Addison has announced the move and will have a long list of offers despite how late it is in the college football offseason. The Pittsburgh wide receiver had a breakout sophomore season and will likely head to the 2023 NFL Draft after this upcoming season.

In his sophomore season with the Pittsburgh Panthers, Jordan Addison caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also ran the ball seven times for 56 yards and one touchdown. It is important to note that star Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett was selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft. Addison may have entered the transfer portal to find a more proven quarterback and keep his NFL stock as high as possible. The one-time NCAA transfer portal rule will allow him to do this without having to sit out a year.

Speculation from a day before the announcement had the USC Trojans as the front runner to land the top wide receiver. Other schools and Pittsburgh themselves will make their pitches to land the receivers’ talents next season. Jordan Addison is full of talent and will elevate the team he plays on next year.
