Actor Jonathan Majors was reportedly arrested in New York on Saturday. The actor currently faces charges of strangulation, assault and harassment.
Majors’ recent arrest stems from an incident that occurred this weekend. Authorities made their way to an apartment in Manhattan on Saturday morning after an alleged domestic dispute between Majors and a 30-year-old woman led to a 9-1-1 call. Once authorities arrived at the apartment, Majors was taken into custody and the unidentified woman was assessed by medical professionals.
“The victim informed police she was assaulted,” a spokesperson for the New York Police Department stated.
“Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”
The Creed III star was released from custody hours after the arrest. He has denied any and all wrongdoing.
“He has done nothing wrong,” a representative for the actor told the Associated Press.
“We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”
Majors is currently the face of an ongoing U.S. Army ad campaign. He is also set to star in Magazine Dreams in December.
