Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard has signed a four-year deal with the New York Jets worth $44 million. The deal includes $22 million in guaranteed money. With this deal, the rumors that the Jets will be acquiring quarterback Aaron Rodgers have gone into overdrive. Lazard has been a favorite target for the veteran quarterback for a few seasons now. This deal also reunites the wide receiver with his former Packers offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, who was hired by the Jets this offseason. There are other former Packers still linked to the Jets in this free-agency period as well.
Can confirm four-year deal for Allen Lazard to #Jets, as @Schultz_Report said. Jets zeroed in on him early, and now two of the top receivers in free agency (Lazard and Jakobi Meyers) have agreed to terms at more than $10M per year.

This past season with the Green Bay Packers, Allen Lazard caught 60 passes for 788 yards and six touchdowns on 100 targets. He also rushed the ball two times but did not gain any rushing yards on the two plays. As the number one target for the Packers this season, Lazard had the best season in his career. Now the top question is, who will be throwing to him next season?
Aaron Rodgers met with the Jets in his home this offseason and there is reportedly a trade framework in place right now. The two teams seem to be waiting on the quarterback to make a decision right now. With Allen Lazard in New York, it could help him make the decision to move to New York.
