The Tennessee Titans and defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons have agreed on a four-year contract extension worth $94 million. Simmons, a 25-year-old defensive lineman is a rising star in the NFL that has already been named to two Pro Bowls in his career. This offseason, the Titans had a goal of singing Simmons to a long-term extension and accomplish that goal with this signing. Now that he is with the team for the foreseeable future the Ttians can continue to build up their defense around the star defensive lineman. A great singing for both the team and the standout defensive player.

This past season as a member of the Tennessee Titans, Jeffery Simmons recorded 25 solo tackles, 54 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, seven passes defended, and one forced fumble. The Titans selected Simmons with the 19th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and with his performance so far the pick has been mort than worth it. In two of his four NFL seasons, he has been named to the NFL Pro Bowl and overall has been a force on the defensive line. The Titans have every reason to believe that his best football is still ahead of him in his career. Tennessee has a few things to figure out, but now this move is off the list.
