James Harden is listed as out against the Utah Jazz in their Friday night matchup due to tightness in his left hamstring. This will leave the Nets without Harden and star-forward Kevin Durant. This game is set to be full of injuries on both sides of the basketball. Harden is the latest name added to the injury list for the game. Utah and Brooklyn are set to tip off in Utah at nine p.m Eastern Standard Time.

Along with James Harden, the Nets will be without Joe Harris (ankle), Kevin Durant (knee), LaMarcus Aldridge (ankle), and Paul Millsap (personal). The Jazz will be without Rudy Gobert (calf), Donovan Mitchell (concussion), Hassan Whiteside (back), Jordan Clarkson (knee), Danuel House Jr (health and safety protocols), and Joe Ingles (knee).
Double digits. @JHarden13 is now a 10x All-Star ? pic.twitter.com/HrcF64g393

The Brooklyn Nets notably will have Kyrie Irving available to them due to the game being at Utah instead of at Brooklyn. With all of the injuries on both rosters having Irving may be the difference-maker for the team. Harden being out will certainly limit the team in their offensive capabilities Friday night. There is no word on his availability for the Nets’ game on Sunday against the Denver Nuggets.
The Brooklyn Nets have lost six straight games and could desperately use a win against an injured Utah team. Brooklyn currently sits at sixth in the Eastern Conference while the Jazz sits at fourth in the Western Conference. This game will likely come down to which role players step up and win the game. We here at Def Pen Sports hope Harden makes a quick and healthy return to the court.
