New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers is signing a three-year deal with the Las Vegas Raiders worth $33 million. The deal reportedly includes $21 million in guaranteed money for the wide receiver. Las Vegas entered the offseason with the goal of making changes to their offensive lineup and have done that with the addition of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and now Meyers. The team is likely not done making changes to the roster this offseason and could still add players or trade current players to other teams. This move hurts the already thin depth at wide receiver for New England.

This past season with the New England Patriots, Jakobi Meyers caught 67 passes for 804 yards and six touchdowns on 96 targets. He also rushed the ball two times but lost 11 yards on the plays. Meyers has shown he has talent but as a number-one receiver on a lackluster passing offense in New England, he sometimes struggled. With other targets in Las Vegas, he could end up producing more with the team. The lead rumor about the team now is the possibility that they could now trade wide receiver Hunter Renfrow.
