Javon “Wanna” Walton is known to many around the country for his portrayal of Ashtray in HBO’s hit drama, Euphoria. When he’s not running lines or doing press runs, he’s in the boxing gym. At 17 years old, the actor has already collected five amateur state titles in Georgia and earned 80 victories along the way. Now, he’s looking to transition into the pro ranks with the help of Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian’s Most Valuable Promotions. He has reportedly signed a deal with the promotional imprint that will allow him to “utilize Bidarian’s media, sports and finance acumen to advise Walton on brand building, content creation, and marketing of events along with Paul’s viral content creation and marketing genius”
“I’ve been training so hard and working for the majority of my life for this moment. MVP feels like family and that’s very important to me. I know they can help me reach my goals in professional boxing and do it in a way that feels special to me,” Walton said.
“We see this as an incredible opportunity to make a big impact on Wanna’s entrance into professional boxing. The way Nakisa and Jake have been able to disrupt the boxing promotion business in such a considerably short period of time is inspiring. We’re honored to be MVP’s youngest signee,” Walton’s father and coach, DJ, added.
Walton will make his MVP debut in the near future. In the meantime, he will participate in an open media workout on August 2, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.
