The 2020 recruiting class has seen another talented five-star make his college decision. Five-Star guard Jaden Springer of IMG Academy has committed to Rick Barnes and the Tennesse Volunteers. The Florida guard is listed at the 16th overall recruit in the 2020 recruiting class. He picked the Volunteers over Memphis and Michigan.

The IMG Academy guard was long considered a heavy North Carolina target but cooled on the Tar Heels before he cut his list down to three. This is the second five-star recruit that the Volunteers have landed for the 2020 recruiting class. He is also the third top 40 recruit for the program in the upcoming class. Tennesse is now jam-packed at the wing with Springer joining fellow 2020 shooting guard Keon Johnson and small forward Corey Walker. Johnson is a five-star while Walker is a highly rated four-star.
Springer is rated well above Walker and also seven spots ahead of Johnson, so he should get the nod starting his freshman year. It is possible that he and Johnson start opposite each other on the Tennesse wing. Springer is very likely a one and done talent that will be suiting up for an NBA team in the 2021 season.
The guard is talented and has a bright future ahead of him. Tennesse will be lucky to have him even if it is only for a single year. The guard is listed at 195 pounds and is also listed at 6’5″. He still has one more year at IMG Academy where he and Duke commit Jalen Johnson will be playing some exciting basketball.
