California Golden Bears quarterback Jack Plummer has announced he will transfer to the Louisville Cardinals. This will be his third program in college football after beginning his career with the Purdue Boilermakers and then moving to the California Golden Bears. He reunites with his former Head Coach Jeff Brohm at Louisville for his final season of college eligibility. Plummer entered the transfer portal as a graduate student and will not need a waiver to be immediately eligible for the 2023 college football season. He is coming off his best season in college football.

This season with the California Golden Bears, Jack Plummer completed 282 passes for 3,095 yards, 21 touchdowns, and nine interceptions on 451 attempts. He also had one rushing touchdown with California this season. Plummer had by far his best season in college football this year and heads back to a familiar scheme at Louisville. The Cardinals are losing quarterback Malik Cunningham to the 2023 NFL Draft and need someone to step in that has a slight learning curve. Plummer was the ideal candidate to step in for a year and stabilize the program that has a new Head Coach and a new starting quarterback.
