Alyssa “Latto” Stephens has managed to make major strides in her professional endeavors throughout the year. Not only did she release her sophomore studio album, but she also collaborated with Mariah Carey and teamed up with Stacey Abrams for a voting initiative. More recently, she received the first two Grammy nominations of her growing career. To end the year, she added yet another accomplishment to her stacked resumé.
This month, Latto has made an effort to ensure everyone in her hometown of Clayton County can enjoy the holidays. Not long ago, her Win Some Give Some foundation hosted a holiday drive at the Carl Rhodenizer Recreation Center. She not only provided gifts to those in need, but her nonprofit organization also supplied families with meals and essential needs.
In honor of her philanthropic work, local officials declared December 18 as “Latto Day” and presented the Grammy nominee with a key to Clayton County. Throughout the special day, she also received support from Clayton County Board of Education Chairperson Jessie Goree, former Georgia State Representative Stacey Abrams and Clayton County Commissioner Alieka Anderson among others.
