California Golden Bears quarterback Jack Plummer has announced he will enter the transfer portal. This will be the third program he has joined since beginning his college football career. He started his career with the Purdue Boilermakers before spending one year with California. Plummer is entering the transfer portal as a graduate student making him immediately eligible to play next season. It is important to note that California changed offensive coordinators this year, but it is unclear if that impacted his decision to enter the transfer portal. There will likely be interest from other power five programs.
Cal starting QB Jack Plummer and backup QB Kai Millner have entered the transfer portal today, @TheAthletic has learned.
Interested to see who new OC Jake Spavital is bringing in. ULM transfer Chandler Rogers recently visited.

In his lone season with the California Golden Bears, Jack Plummer completed 282 passes for 3,095 yards, 21 touchdowns, and nine interceptions on 451 attempts. He also recorded one rushing touchdown this season with the team. Of his four years in college football, his season with California was by far his best. His passing yards ranked as the sixth highest in program history.
His next destination is unknown, but after the season with California, he should have several suitors heading into 2023. The Golden Bears finished with an overall record of 4-8 and a PAC-12 record of 2-7. The team will now focus on replacing Jack Plummer for next season.
