Drink Champs keeps the exciting interviews rolling yet again. A few days after sitting down with the one and only Patti LaBelle, DJ EFN and N.O.R.E have booked yet another talented guest for the popular show. This time around, the crew will chop it up about their individual careers, future work, and their days at Murder Inc.
“Let’s get drunk! F*ck a cup,” Irv Gotti shouts in the teaser.
Teasing the upcoming interview, Drink Champs shared a quick clip of their conversation. At one point, N.O.R.E appears to ask Irv Gotti about his ongoing dispute with Ashanti. Specifically, they appear to address Ashanti’s recent attempts to regain her masters and re-record her first two albums. In reference to Ashanti’s recent moves, Irv Gotti bluntly claims that he is responsible for her success at Murder Inc.
“I made those Ashanti records,” he tells N.O.R.E.
From the short clip, it’s unclear how Ja Rule reacted to those comments. In contrast to Irv Gotti, Ja Rule has seemingly maintained a strong relationship with his former lablemate. Ashanti appeared at Ja Rule’s Verzuz battle against Fat Joe in New York. The two have also performed at this year’s Dreamville Festival and Something In The Water Festival.
