The new year is off to a good start…sort of. Amazon executive Vernon Sanders recently spoke to Steven Weintraub of Collider and provided an exclusive update regarding the second season of the hit series, Invincible. When asked if Amazon would roll out a new season of the hit series in 2023, he simply said, “Yes.”
“2023 is going to be a great year for people,” Sanders told Weintraub.
Unfortunately, Sanders did not provide much more than a “release year” for the highly-anticipated return of Invincible. However, it does add to the good news that actor Khary Payton offered back in September.
“We finished Season 2, we’re on to Season 3. But, it’s so hard to say right now,” Payton The Movie Dweeb.
“There was a glut of animation studios just trying to get so much done, and literally, it was like projects sitting there with a backpack full of, you know, material being like, ‘Any time you’re ready.’”
Details regarding the plot of season two still remain unclear, but it will likely build upon the dramatic finale of season one which aired nearly two years ago. Until more is revealed, you and I will just have to wait for more updates from Sanders and company.
