Avelino has capped off the previous year and kickstarted the new year with a major collaboration. The U.K. rapper has teamed up with super producer Hit-Boy to deliver a new track called “2 Certified.” However, this track doesn’t feature Hit-Boy production. Instead, it brings out the California hitmaker to deliver a few verses as the duo goes back and forth over the lively production.
“I told Hit-Boy [that] he needs to rap more. I built myself up brick by brick, but I don’t trap no more. Yeah, I ain’t full of myself. I’m impactful. I’m in a two-door Beamer. I’m toppin’ fuel. What do you think that I’m gassed for? Drop the top ’cause they ant to see me rise and fall. I can see through the eye of a needle. What do you mean keep your eye on the ball? I’m different,” Avelino raps.
Hit-Boy has heeded Avelino’s advice. Back in October, he dropped “Tony Fontana III” with Curren$y. Meanwhile, Avelino has been prepping the release of his forthcoming LP, God Save The Streets. Before the full project arrives later this year, check out the “2 Certified” video below.
