HBO Max is currently working with former Bachelor producer Elan Gale to develop a series called FBoy Island hosted by actress Nikki Glaser. Gale’s latest work sets three women looking for love in the Cayman Islands. The trio is joined by a group of 24 men, but there’s one catch. Twelve of the men are self-proclaimed “Good Guys” and twelve are “F-Boys” in search of cash. Throughout the show, the group of women must sort through the group to find people’s true intentions and possibly find love. In the end, all 24 men must reveal their true intentions.
“This is an incredibly entertaining dating show full of twists and turns that will leave the audience constantly guessing,” HBO Max executive Jennifer O’Connell said.
“We are especially excited for viewers to watch these strong women, guided by the hilarious Nikki Glaser, team together and empower each other to say ‘F-Boy, F-Bye.'”
Gale, Glaser and HBO Max finished shooting in the Cayman Islands earlier this year and the ten-episode season will debut this summer.
“When I first got the call to be a part of a reality dating show called FBoy Island, I said yes immediately. Then I realized they weren’t asking me to be one of the girls looking for love. That is not a joke; it was embarrassing,” Glaser said.
“But as a massive fan of this genre, hosting this show was a true dream. I look forward to hosting for the next 43 seasons. I knew going into it that a show created and produced by the people behind my two favorite shows was going to be insanely good, but this one exceeded my expectations. I already know what happens and I can’t wait to watch it every week.”
