The month of May will bring millions of viewers out to their local theaters. Just last week, Marvel unveiled the final Guardians of the Galaxy film of the James Gunn-led era. In just a few weeks, Jason Mamoa and Vin Diesel will lead the final chapter of the Fast saga. Serving as the headliner, Halle Bailey and Disney will bring The Little Mermaid to theaters on May 26.
In preparation for the film’s global debut, Disney hosted a premiere in Los Angeles, California on Monday evening. The event brought out a wide range of stars, including, Cardi B, Offset and Heidi Klum to name a few.
“We made it,” she tweeted after the premiere.
“I’m so overwhelmed and overjoyed that this movie is almost here for you all to see. This was the first premiere of the press run and I have been in tears and feeling oh so grateful.”
Halle Bailey’s sister, Chloe, was also in attendance to celebrate her sister’s role in the upcoming film.
“It’s a big night for my sister,” Chloe Bailey said about the premiere.
“Can you not tell? I’ve been trying not to cry every time that I think about it.”
The world will have an opportunity to enjoy Bailey’s work in the latest adaptation of The Little Mermaid later this month. Until then, check out the trailer below.
