Three weeks into the 2018-2019 college basketball season we have witnessed a lot of surprising things from different teams. One team, in particular, is the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
Before the season, our team at DefPen ranked them at the number five spot, so we knew they would be good, but no one thought they would be this good. Starting the season with seven wins and zero losses, the Bulldogs have proved that they are a top team in college basketball.
Gonzaga’s Geno Crandall will miss four-to-six weeks with a hand injury, per release.

Things might change after some recent team news. Gonzaga’s senior guard Geno Crandall has been listed inactive for the next 4-6 weeks after fracturing his right hand. Though Crandall has not made a huge impact on the court, this will affect the Bulldogs as they are already missing forward Killian Tillie.
Grandall has averaged five points and around two assists coming off the bench for this team. Though the stats are not spectacular, his leadership will be missed. As a senior, Crandall has been able to help lead the younger core of their team towards early success.
Even with this injury, Gonzaga does not want to slow down. They look to go full steam ahead in these next weeks and be in the driver’s seat awaiting his return.
