Today, the world knows French Montana as a global hitmaker who has put together records such as “Unforgettable” and “Writing On The Wall” and collaborated with stars such as Drake and Cardi B. Before that, he was known as the New York native responsible for the Mac & Cheese mixtape series and collaborations with the late Chinx. Along that road, he connected with a producer by the name of Harry Fraud, who developed the breakout single, “Shot Caller.”
“When I was trying to get into the rap music industry, it’s not like everyone wanted to accept me off the bat,” Harry Fraud told Rolling Stone in 2013.
“I’m not your usual character of, you know, ‘The Rap Producer.’ I think French could relate to that. He was trying to create something different and I had a different sound.”
Over the years, Harry Fraud has branched out and worked with the likes of Jack Harlow, Pusha T, Wiz Khalifa, Playboi Carti and Rico Nasty. While he has continued to contribute to French Montana’s albums throughout the years, the duo has not been able to put together a full project in some time. Fortunately, that will all change this evening.
“From the lowest lows to the highest highs, French Montana [and I] have been [through] it all. On June 24th, we [will] solidify our legacy,” Harry Fraud wrote on Instagram.
Led by collaborations with Jadakiss, Benny The Butcher and Babyface Ray, French Montana and Harry Fraud are here to release their latest LP, Montega. Check out the complete project below.
