NBA Picks 2/28/22
We went 2-1 on Friday bringing the post-All-Star game total to 5-1. Before we get to tonight’s slate we have to address the list of teams we will no longer wager on. The first team on the list is the Los Angeles Lakers. Their propensity for laying eggs makes them radioactive. Next, the New York Knicks. They stink up the joint as favorites and will ride a huge RJ Barrett performance when they’re expected to lose. We can’t figure them out and refuse to wager on or against them. We expect the list will continue to grow as the season comes to an end. For now, let’s take a look at tonight’s slate for the NBA Picks 2/28/22.
Minnesota Timberwolves at Cleveland Cavaliers (+3.5) 7:10p.m EST
Cleveland’s defense hasn’t been the same as of late and desperately need a fully healthy Darius Garland back. Until then, they may not have the firepower to beat the Timberwolves.
Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves -3.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Charlotte Hornets at Milwaukee Bucks (-10.5) 8:10 p.m EST
We were among those that believed the Bucks were on cruise control and their record wasn’t indicative of who they truly were as a team. At this point, their defense is outside of the top ten and may need more than Brook Lopez to get back to the type of defensive juggernaut we know and love. As terrible as the Hornets have been lately, the Bucks can not be trusted as double-digit favorites.
Pick: Charlotte Hornets +10.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Indiana Pacers at Orlando Magic (-1) 7:10 p.m EST
We don’t plan on watching a single second of this game but Indiana is liable to score 125 on any given night behind Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. Franz Wagner is legit but as a team they struggle to put the ball in the basket.
