This will be the fourth appearance for the Raiders, the last one was in 2006 when they won against the Philadelphia Eagles. For the Jaguars, it is the second time in franchise history that they have been invited. In their debut, they lost 14-20 against the Carolina Panthers.
In adition, the exhibition game will be the first preseason game for both newly hired coaches Josh McDaniels (Raiders) and Doug Pederson (Jaguars).
During Enshrinement Week, the game will take place on Thursday, and on Saturday it’s the Enshrinement Ceremony turn. Both teams have former players getting inducted in the Hall of Fame, Richard Seymour and Cliff Branch for the Raiders, and Tony Boselli for the Jaguars.
