NBA Picks 2/17/22
Another 2-1 day has us back in the green for the week. Truthfully, the loss is on us. We knew better than to bet on the New York Knicks but we couldn’t help fading the Brooklyn Nets. Well, the Knicks coughed up a 28 point lead and were buried by Cam Thomas’ 16 points in the fourth quarter. It was an embarrassing loss for the Knicks and we will never bet on them again. The Portland Trailblazer not only covered, they outright beat the Memphis Grizzlies. The Chicago Bulls took care of business and covered against the lifeless Sacramento Kings. Now, it’s on to Thursday night’s slate for the NBA Picks 2/17/22.
Miami Heat at Charlotte Hornets (+5.5) 7:10 p.m EST
The Hornets are in a tailspin and things could get worse against the Miami Heat. We expect Miami’s defense will make things tough for Lamelo Ball and company.
Pick: Miami Heat -5.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Philadelphia 76ers at Milwaukee Bucks (-6.5) 8:10 p.m EST
Until James Harden makes his debut, we are fading the Philadelphia 76ers against good teams. Giannis Antetokounmpo is playing amazing basketball right now as well.
Pick: Milwaukee Bucks -6.5 (-110 via DraftKings)
Dallas Mavericks at New Orleans Pelicans (+2.5) 8:10 p.m EST
The Dallas Mavericks struggle against post players with skill and athletic wings capable of attacking the paint. Enter Jonas Valanciunas and Brandon Ingram. The Mavericks will need to get hot from deep if they hope to keep up with the suddenly explosive New Orleans Pelicans.
