Kyle Shanahan is one of the hottest names on the coaching carousel. In my opinion, he is the best option for any team looking for a new head coach. Out of the 6 teams searching for a new head coach, it appears that Shanahan has his eyes on one job, in particular; the Denver Broncos. NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo has reported that Shanahan prefers to land the Denver head opening.
“The word around the league right now,” Garafolo said, “the word with people involved in coaching searches and gathering all of this information is that that’s the job Shanahan has his eyes on — going to Denver where his father coached.”
As I wrote earlier not all head coaching jobs are the same. Shanahan knows the Denver job is the best opportunity to win right away. Shanahan seems like a perfect fit for the Broncos. His father Mike coached John Elway to a Super Bowl victory in the 90’s. Elway is now the G.M. in Denver. Gary Kubiak was also a part of Mike’s staff many years ago. The transition would appear to be effortless.
Kyle Shanahan is very sought after for one reason. His Falcons team has scored the 4th most points in a single season in NFL history in 2016.
