Sam Levinson and HBO have begun production of what many expect will be the final season of Euphoria. Many of the show’s biggest stars, including Maude Apatow, Hunter Schafer, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Zendaya and Colman Domingo, will return for the new season, but a few familiar faces will not be gracing the screen when the show returns. Most notably, Barbie Ferreira, Storm Reid, Nika King, Austin Abrams, and Algee Smith will not return to the show. Also, Angus Cloud, the actor best known for his role as Fezco in Euphoria, will not return after he tragically passed away in 2023.
With several members of the show’s main cast saying goodbye, HBO has added several new actors to the show. Golden Globe Award Winner Sharon Stone, Super Bowl Champion Marshawn Lynch, 44-year acting veteran Kadeem Hardison, GRAMMY Award winner Rosalia, Lost‘s Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and The Society‘s Toby Wallace will join the cast. Chloe Cherry and Martha Kelly have been upgraded to series regulars while Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hébert and Anna Van Patten have secured guest star roles.
“I was over the moon when I heard the news that I booked it. It’s amazing to be back on set with Z. She and I formed a tight friendship while shooting K.C. Undercover and we’ve stayed close, so this is truly special,” Hardison said after booking the role. “Sam, Ashley, the entire cast and crew have all been great to work with and we’re all very happy to be shooting it here in LA, especially after the travesty that thousands here just experienced. Our hearts go out to everyone affected and here’s to hoping more productions follow suit and come back to Los Angeles to shoot.”
Production of Euphoria‘s third season kicked off in Los Angeles in February. However, the show is not expected to return to air until 2026.
