HBO has reportedly renewed White Lotus for a fourth season. The network provided no additional details regarding the cast or plot of the anthology’s fourth chapter.
Before season four hits the airwaves, season three of HBO’s White Lotus will debut on Sunday, February 16. The series’ third getaway turned sour will feature a star-studded cast that includes Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Lalisa Manobal and several other popular actors. Not to mention, Natasha Rothwell will reprise her role as spa manager Belinda Lindsey.
“When [creator] Mike White was finishing up season two, he asked to grab dinner with me. I thought nothing of it,” Rothwell said. “But he was already thinking about season three and wanting to explore her more. I told him I’d follow him anywhere, and I meant it. I didn’t know where the shoot or the storyline were, it was just a yes.”
Seasons one and two were set in scenic locations, Maui, Hawaii, and Taormina, Sicily, and season three delivers as well. This time around, the cast and crew set up shop in Thailand.
“The kingdom’s exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites and diverse landscapes are the perfect settings to share our fascinating culture, fantastic cuisine, top-notch wellness and luxury offerings, and most importantly our people and Thai hospitality,” Thailand Tourism Authority Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said. “Thailand has long been considered one of the world’s favorite filming locations. The White Lotus project will certainly strengthen the kingdom’s status as a preferred filming destination and a beacon of experience-based tourism, inspiring even more visitors to amazing Thailand.”
White hasn’t offered up many details regarding the plot of season three, but Jennifer Coolidge said the next batch of episodes will be “juicy.”
“Mike must have some juicy stuff for [Rothwell’s character],” Coolidge told The Hollywood Reporter. “I think that will be the most interesting storyline of all: whatever’s happened to Natasha’s character. But, yeah, I also want to see Greg get it.”
