Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels have landed the commitment of 2024 top ten recruit and number one point guard Elliot Cadeau. The probable “one and done” prospect projects to be a lottery pick the year after his freshman year in college basketball. He committed to the North Carolina Tar Heels over the Kansas Jayhawks, Syracuse Orange, Texas Tech Red Raiders, Texas Longhorns, and Louisville Cardinals. There is some speculation that he will reclassify to the 2023 class, but that is not official as of right now.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are not strangers to elite-level point guards and Cadeau joins a long list of electric guards. With Caleb Love and perhaps RJ Davis off to the NBA next year, there will be room for a new guard if he decides to move to the 2023 class. If he stays in the 2024 class he joins top 50 recruit and small forward Drake Powell as a freshman. Should he head to the 2023 class he joins top 20 recruit and combo guard Simeon Wilcher as well as top 50 recruit and power forward Zayden High.
Head Coach Hubert Davis has proven he can coach talent in his first couple of seasons with the North Carolina Tar Heels. Elliot Cadeau will head into the program with high expectations as a freshman with the ability to impact the program from the first day.
