Broccoli City Festival is set to return to the nation’s capital in 2023. This time around, the festival is set to take place on July 15-16, 2023 at RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C. By moving the festival to the month of July, festival organizers and attendees hope to avoid the cold weather and gray skies that covered the two-day event in 2022.
Broccoli City Festival is gearing up for a strong run in 2023 after a successful campaign in 2022. The last iteration of the event took place on May 7-8, 2022 at RFK Festival Grounds in Washington, D.C. In spite of the poor weather, fans enjoyed performances from Ari Lennox, Wale, Summer Walker, Lil’ Durk and many others. Two months later, Broccoli City Festival and R&B House Party teamed up with AfroTech to bring a number of acts to the annual convention, including Bia, Bas and Zaytoven. More recently, Live Nation purchased a stake in the annual event. As part of the deal, Brandon McEachern and Marcus Allen moved into executive roles at Live Nation Urban.
McEachern, Allen, Jermon Williams and the team at Broccoli City Festival will bring live music back to the nation’s capital this summer. More details regarding the conference and musical lineup will be revealed as the event nears.
