The Celebration Bowl is next week, so can you meet me down in Georgia for a little weekend getaway? That’s the question that Dende and Deante’ Hitchcock ask in their latest collaboration, “Georgia.” Produced by Billy Blunt, the track has a mid-tempo, soulful feel that is propelled by Dende’s infectious hook that listeners can’t help but sing along to.
“I told her to meet me down in Georgia. We can let the windows down and ride around while we listen to all of those songs that you can’t turn down out in Georgia,” he sings.
Dende’s addictive hook is only elevated by a verse from Georgia native Deante’ Hitchcock. Those who are familiar with his appearance on “Neck Up” know that the Atlanta native always comes through when he works with Dende.
“I’ve been trying to beat that sh*t for a minute like a court case. Shawty is from New York, so she jacks it to give me north face. But me? I’m from the city and the trees, so she misses me like an exit on 85 when I leave. Look, Dende? He’s a lover. I just love ’em and leave. Love is blind. I’ll see ya when I see ya,” he raps.
“Georgia” sets the stage Dende’s forthcoming EP, Before We Crash. Until the project arrives, fans can enjoy his latest collaboration with Deante’ Hitchcock below.
