Houston Texans wide receiver Demaryius Thomas will miss the rest of the season with a torn Achilles. He suffered the injury and was carted off the field in the third quarter of the Texans game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Thomas, who seemed to know that the injury was serious, was in tears as he was taken into the locker room.
The Houston Texans updated Thomas’ injury status on Twitter shortly after the receiver was carted off the field.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the Texans believe Thomas’ injury is a torn Achilles.
#Texans WR Demaryius Thomas is believed to have torn his Achilles, source said. He was carted off. He’ll undergo tests, but that’s an injury that’s often immediately known.

The Texans traded for Demaryius Thomas earlier this year after losing wide receiver Will Fuller for the season to a torn ACL. Houston is now left with one less option for quarterback Deshaun Watson as they prepare for the playoffs after their week 17 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
