Just days after locking up one of their key contributors on the offensive side and signing Alvin Kamara to an extension, the New Orleans Saints have also agreed to terms with their defensive captain Demario Davis. Fox’s Erin Andrews reported during New Orleans’ Week 1 tilt against Tampa Bay that Davis had signed an extension with the club. ESPN’s Mike Triplett confirmed the report, adding that Davis’ extension would earn him $27 million over the next three years.
Per source, Saints LB Demario Davis signed a three-year extension for $27 million with $18 million guaranteed. What a huge free-agent win he has been for the Saints.

Though Demario Davis may not be the biggest name on the Saints’ star-studded roster, the veteran linebacker has been integral towards New Orleans’ success in recent years. Davis has started every game for the Saints since joining the team in 2018 and was named first-team All-Pro last season.
Davis has recorded 100-plus tackles in each of the past three seasons, dating back to his time with the New York Jets and has also registered at least 11 TFL each season over that same span. Davis will again look to anchor New Orleans’ defense now heading into his third season with the team.
