There is no doubt that Wide Reciever Deebo Samuel has been invaluable to the San Francisco 49ers this season. The standout star was hobbled near the end of the team’s victory against the Green Bay Packers, but that didn’t stop him from helping his team seal the deal. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan gave good news on that front this week. Samuel is expected to practice this week and signs look good for him to play against the Los Angeles Rams in the 2022 NFC Championship game.
Kyle Shanahan on the status of Deebo Samuel, who hobbled off the field at the end of Saturday’s win: “Deebo took a helmet to the side of his knee/leg on that last play, so he’s sore today, but we expect to see him on the practice field this week.”
And thus, on track to play.

Kyle Shanahan on injuries:
Trent Williams (ankle) – X-rays negative, partly old injury
“Not exactly sure [on his status], have to manage him”Jeff Wilson Jr. (ankle sprain) – not high ankle
Deebo Samuel (knee/leg) – took helmet to knee, sore today, expected to practice

Deebo Samuel is an invaluable weapon in the San Francisco offense and without him the passing game becomes bleak. This season with the 49ers the star wide receiver logged 77 catches for 1,405 yards and six touchdowns. He also rushed the ball 59 times for 365 yards and eight touchdowns. The Rams front seven would be much harder to manage without the talent of Samuel on the field. San Francisco will play at Los Angeles on Sunday in the NFC Championship game. The winner of the game will play in Super Bowl LVI. Samuel will do his best to make sure it’s the 49ers.
