On Saturday, December 23, undisputed middleweight champion Claressa Shields and the Shields Community Outreach Corporation hosted her fourth annual toy drive at AT Fitness in Mount Morris, Michigan.
For the past [three] years, Shields Community Outreach Corporation [SCOC] has gifted dinner baskets, toys, clothes, books, hygiene bags and much more! [SCOC has gifted] toys as small as Fidget spinners and [as] big as hoverboards and Toy helicopters,” Shields said after the toy drive.
“Enjoy this reel and hopefully, it [will encourage] you to give something to someone.”
Claressa Shields and the Shields Community Outreach Corporation continue to impact Shields’ hometown of Flint, Michigan and the surrounding areas in need. Over the years, Shields and company hosted Back 2 School Giveaways, Easter Holiday Initiatives, Winter Giveaway and Holiday Toy Drives.
Beyond her philanthropic endeavors, Shields continues to maintain her place as the top fighter in women’s boxing. In her only bout of 2023, she earned a unanimous decision victory against Maricela Cornejo in Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan. Next year, the Michigan native has indicated that she’ll also dive back into her mixed martial arts career with the Professional Fighters League.
