The United States will have their star midfielder Christian Pulisic against the Netherlands in the 2022 FIFA World Cup Round of 16. He was officially cleared to play by the Team USA medical staff on Friday. Pulisic scored what ended up being the game-winning goal against Iran in the team’s final group-stage game. On that play, he collided with the goalkeeper of Iran and went down hard with an injury. He gutted it out the rest of the half but did not return to the game for the second half of the game. The United States would go on to win the game 1-0 which advanced them to the Round of 16.
