CBS has elected to renew the following nine series: NCIS, NCIS: Hawai’i, CSI: Vegas, 60 Minutes, 48 Hours, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough as Nails and Lingo. Previously, the network made the decision to several series as well, including Young Sheldon, The Equalizer, Ghosts and So Help Me Todd among others.
“This season CBS is continuing its winning tradition, delivering an unparalleled combination of top returning series and new hit shows that are entertaining huge audiences on both broadcast and streaming,” CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach told Variety.
“It is a testament to the stellar work being done by our best-in-class talent in front of and behind the camera that we have had yet another exceptional season, and I know we will only continue to build on this foundation of outstanding programming as we look ahead toward next fall.”
Elsewhere in the ViacomCBS realm, there have been a pair of renewals at Showtime. Back in December, Showtime picked up its breakout hit series, Yellowjackets, for a third season. More recently, the premium network added a new season of Uncoupled to its bill for the upcoming year. The Neil Patrick Harris-led series had previously been canceled by Netflix. Rounding out recent renewals at the media conglomerate, Paramount+ has given a green light for season two of 1923 and MTV is preparing to roll out two new seasons of The Challenge.
