A new face may appear when judges swivel their chairs around in the upcoming season of The Voice. People has reported that former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello will be a judge on the upcoming season of the NBC reality competition series. She will join a collection of hosts that includes Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and John Legend.
Prior to this season, Cabello had served as an advisor for John Legend’s crew of aspiring singers. During a recent appearance on Extra, Legend praised Cabello’s expertise and advice.
“Camila has all the experience she needs to be the perfect advisor for our team. She has navigated a singing competition before and done very well on it,” John Legend told Extra.
“She was part of a group, and in this battle setting, where the artists are dueting with each other, that’s a very important skill to have. And obviously, she’s an incredibly successful artist and performer in her own right, and all the things she’s learned throughout these years are going to be so important for our team.”
Season 22 of The Voice is set to air on NBC this fall.
