Over the last few months, many of the past #FirstToTheAux features from the Washington, D.C. area have made major moves within the entertainment industry. Langston Bleu announced that he will be releasing his debut project, Bleu, on February 26. Reggie Becton delivered his Thank You For Listenin‘ EP with features Grace Weber and Garren. Now, there is more good news coming out the nation’s capital. Ainae has shared that she will be featured on NBC’s The Voice next month. She made the announcement on Instagram last week.
“I have kept this secret for what feels like an eternity. I’m super thrilled to announce I auditioned for NBC’s The Voice,” she wrote.
“For everyone asking why I’m in a hotel all the time, your suspicions were right. Big [things are] in the pipeline.”
Ainae first hit the Def Pen radar in May of last year when she released the “Girls” video. She then followed it up with “Here Tonight” with Stealf Soulja. Now, the nation will hear the voice that put together those two records.
The Voice will return to NBC for its 20th season March 1, 2021 at 8 p.m. ET
