On Saturday, Jalen Milroe led the University of Alabama Crimson Tide to a four-point victory against the Texas A&M Aggies in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Milroe accounted for 194 total yards and three touchdowns as Heisman Trophy candidate Bryce Young watched from the sideline after suffering a shoulder injury one week earlier. Following the team’s hard-fought victory, Saban offered an update regarding Young’s health heading into the seventh week of the season.
“We’ll just see what kind of progress Bryce makes for the next week,” Saban said.
“He’s been very supportive all week of helping Jalen every way that he can, but he also wants to play.”
Next week, the Crimson Tide will face their toughest opponent yet, Josh Heupel and the Tennessee Volunteers. While the Crimson Tide struggled to put away the Texas A&M Aggies, the Volunteers went on the road and beat the LSU Tigers by 27 points. Despite the Volunteers’ recent success, the Crimson Tide are still a seven-point favorite heading into Neyland Stadium.
