The Cleveland Browns are starting to get their affairs in order before the draft. They are reportedly preparing to sign Jarvis Landry to a huge five-year extension reportedly worth over $15M a year. This was first reported by ESPN Josina Anderson

This deal is a huge payday for Landry, who is reportedly going to be guaranteed $47M of it. The numbers of the deal were reported by NFL Networks Ian Rapoport.
The #Browns and WR Jarvis Landry are going to agree to terms on a 5-year, $75.5M extension, sources say. He gets $47M guaranteed… crazy for those who considered him a slot receiver.

Landry, who led the NFL in catches last season with 112, had almost more than the Browns receivers as a whole in 2017, who only put up 134 combined. Landry also has the 3rd most catches since 2014 behind Antonie Brown and Julio Jones.
This money puts Landry right up with the league’s elite wideouts as he’s now the sixth highest-paid WR annually in the league. He also is taking home the most guaranteed money by almost $10M with the next highest being Mike Evans $38M guaranteed.
This deal comes at a time of turn over for the Browns who went just 1-31 in the last two seasons. They sit primed to stack their offense in the draft with the first and fourth overall picks. They could be eyeing a QB for their new weapon to help out in the future.
