Northwestern Wildcats senior guard Boo Buie has announced that he has withdrawn from the 2023 NBA Draft and will return to the program. He will play his fifth season of college basketball and will likely be the best player on the court for the Wildcats once again next season. He is able to return to the program for a fifth season due to the impact the Coronavirus had on the 2020-21 college basketball season. Buie was stellar for the Wildcats last season and will be on the watchlist for several awards in the Big Ten next season.

As a senior for the Northwestern Wildcats, Boo Buie averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game. He paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 40.6 percent and a three-point percentage of 31.8 percent. Buie has spent his entire college basketball career with Northwestern and has gotten better each season with the program. At his best, he is a force on the court and keeps the Wildcats competitive in any game. His return is a big one for the team and will keep them in the running to make the 2024 NCAA Tournament next year. After next season he can refocus on going pro and enter the 2024 NBA Draft.
