And we’re back! Nearly four years after the fifth season arrived on its platform, Netflix has shared the trailer for season six of Black Mirror.
“We’re back in Black, with a hint of Red! The sixth season of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror returns with 5 ground-breaking new stories. The most unpredictable, unclassifiable and unexpected season yet,” the teaser for the upcoming season reads.
According to Variety, the forthcoming season of the hit, sci-fi series will feature Zazie Beetz, Paapa Essiedu, Josh Hartnett, Aaron Paul, Kate Mara, Danny Ramirez, Clara Rugaard, Auden Thornton and Anjana Vasan. Industry star Myha’la Herrold is also prominently featured in the trailer.
There is no word as to what story each episode will tell, but the trailer does take viewers inside an alternate reality in which a Netflix spoof, Streamberry, bases a prestige drama on the life of a character played by Annie Murphy.
“I’ve always felt that Black Mirror should feature stories that are entirely distinct from one another, and keep surprising people (and myself) or else what’s the point?” series creator Charlie Brooker asked.
“It should be a series that can’t be easily defined, and can keep reinventing itself.”
The sixth season of Black Mirror will debut on Netflix on June 15, 2023. Until then, check out the trailer below.
