The world won’t know who is playing in Super Bowl LIX until championship weekend wraps up, but FOX, is already making a few plans for the second weekend in February. On Thursday, January 23, 2025, FOX announced Rocsi Diaz and Bill Bellamy will host this year’s Super Bowl Soulful Celebration at the Mahalia Jackson Theater for the Performing Arts in New Orleans, Louisiana. The primetime special is expected to air Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 8 p.m. EST on FOX as well as Hulu, Tubi, Fox Sports and the Fox Soul streaming service.
“Hosting the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration is like hitting the trifecta—music, faith, and football all in one show! And, you can’t beat doing it in New Orleans. I’m excited to bring some laughs, some energy, and to be part of this incredible night with an amazing lineup,” Bellamy said.
FOX has enlisted a star-studded lineup of performers to headline the special broadcast, including The Isley Brothers, Yolanda Adams, Tori Kelly, Muni Long, Jonathan McReynolds and the NFL Players Choir. The show will also feature hometown heroes Master P, Big Freedia, Lucky Daye and Trombone Shorty.
“As we celebrate the 26th year of the Super Bowl Soulful Celebration as an official NFL sanctioned event, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the journey that has brought us here,” Super Bowl Soulful Celebration Executive Producer Melanie Few said. “Returning to New Orleans, a city that embodies resilience, culture, and faith, feels like the perfect way to honor the essence of what this event has always stood for.”
Not only will FOX air its annual celebration, but it will also broadcast Super Bowl LIX. Last year, the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers to win their second straight championship. This year, the Chiefs will look for a third consecutive spot in the season’s final game as they host the Buffalo Bills in Kansas City, Missouri. Meanwhile, the Washington Commanders wish to culminate their dream season in New Orleans, but they must first beat Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Sunday, January 26.
