Some of the best athletes of the 2000s will use their skills in a new arena next month. Variety has reported that Ray Lewis and Metta Sandiford-Artest in a “Survivor-like competition series” called Beyond The Edge on CBS. Led by the show’s host Mauro Ranallo, the series will also star NFL legend Mike Singletary, political commentator Eboni K. Williams, actress Jodie Sweetin, country singer Lauren Alaina and model Paulina Porizkova.
“The celebrities gathered in Bocas del Toro, Panama, in September and October. For two weeks, the celebrities experienced ‘torrential downpours, scorching heat and deadly wildlife while living in the exotic Panama jungle,'” the show’s description reads, according to Variety.
“If the star has had enough, they can ring a bell to signal that they are ready to go home. At the end of the 14 days, the top two earners go head to head in one final competition, to ultimately win the most money for their charity.”
Beyond The Edge is set to debut on CBS at 9 p.m. EST on March 16, 2022.
