The Houston Astros have just completed a 9-0 rout of the Seattle Mariners that featured a combined no-hitter from the Astros pitching staff. With four scoreless outings from four separate pitchers, the Mariners made some history with newly acquired pitcher Aaron Sanchez headlining the night. The four Astros pitchers who threw in the victory were Sanchez, Will Harris, Joe Biagini, and Chris Devenski.
Magical night at Minute Maid Park, where the Astros have thrown their 12th no-hitter in franchise history. Aaron Sanchez, Will Harris, Joe Biagini and Chris Devenski have combined for the no-hitter against the Mariners. @astros #TakeItBack

Sanchez was the lesser of the Astros rotation upgrades from the deadline with the acquisition of Zack Greinke but tonight he proved to be a great addition for the team. It wasn’t all about Sanchez either, another piece of the trade with the Blue Jays, Biagini, threw a scoreless inning, striking out one. The final stats for the Astros pitchers were as follows:
- Aaron Sanchez: 6.0 IP, 0H, 2BB, 6K
- Will Harris: 1.0IP, 0H, 0BB, 1K
- Joe Biagini: 1.0IP, 0H, 1BB, 1K
- Chris Devenski: 1.0IP, 0H, 0BB, 1K
This combined no-hitter was the twelfth no-hitter in Astros franchise history. Another combined no-hitter was thrown earlier this year in the Angels contest against the Mariners off the terrible news of the death of Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs. This is the last no-hitter in Astros history since a combined no-hitter by the 2003 Astros in a true bullpen game.
