In some extremely tragic news, the Los Angeles Angels have announced the passing of pitcher Tyler Skaggs prior to Monday nights contest with the Texas Rangers. Skaggs was reportedly found dead in Dallas, Texas. The game between the Angels and Rangers is being postponed and will not be played after the tragic news was released of Skaggs’s passing.

Skaggs was only twenty-seven years old, the details of his passing have not been released but the Major League Baseball community is mourning this loss. This terrible news comes just days after Skaggs made his last start against the Oakland Athletics. Through fifteen games started in 2019, Skaggs was 7-7 with a 4.29 ERA, 1.27 WHIP, with seventy-eight punch outs through seventy-nine and two-thirds innings of work.
The Police have stated that there was no foul play involved. He was found unresponsive and then pronounced dead according to the South Lake Police Department. More news is expected on this tragic news, but for now, we join Major League Baseball in mourning of the loss of Tyler Skaggs.
